Since its creation in 1992, the Brown Bear Foundation (Fundación Oso Pardo - FOP) has been enhancing its geographic action –which now extends to almost the whole Cantabrian Mountains and the Pyrenees– as well as the magnitude and contents of its conservation initiatives and projects.

Its tasks involve conservation and restoration of highly praised habitats for the species, monitoring of the bear population, research related to management and fight against poaching, and environmental training and education.

    You will also know why and how was reintroduced the brown bear in the Pyrenees, its habitat, the problems of coexistence and how they were solved.

    Fall season:
    - Open weekends, holidays and long weekends from September 23rd to November 3rd

    Outside of schedule, we open on request for groups of more than 15 people.
